The online magazine & network for Soulful & Spiritual Living
Hi all, i don't come on here too often as i am often 'too busy'...however, after reading many blogs i have to say, some the trials of life you go through can make you stronger. you're all an inspiration to me, how you get through the bad times, and see how much you can gain strength from other people's experiences, i am so very touched.

Isn't it funny how one thing in your life can be amazing, breathtakingly good and other parts are so difficult to live with.
As you may know I launched a new part of my business in January and it is going from strength to strength. From quite a young age I just wanted to work with children. I had a talent for it. Throughout my teens I was a babysitter for numerous children and it was a great money spinner.
I never thought I would be able to work with children as I didn't want to…

Well i was feeling a little disappointed to say the least yesterday because i had not had any " Signs" since day one of my faith challenge week , until i was driving home to Melton Mowbray for a Clan Gathering and saw the most beautiful Rainbow stretch across the sky in front of me.......i prayed for it to last long enough for me to pull over ( i was just coming off the A1) and it DID! Silly me for doubting ( something i do alot of ) and there i stood in the Sun/rain, by the side of the…

As a little girl I wanted what we were told girls should no longer want.
We were told we should want careers, we were told that women’s work was demeaning and we were told we should have more respect for ourselves then to wish for a life as a home maker or housewife.
My dream you see was to have a home, where I didn't have to move. Where there wasn't shouting and punching and drunken violence. A happy loving home, filled with children. A home where I could garden, bake and…

We all cherish our true friendships. Friends that stick with us through thick and thin, enjoy our company, and with whom we can confide in and trust beyond a shadow of a doubt are few and far between. And if you are lucky enough to have found someone who you can truly call your friend, your life is enriched by the constant companionship and…

A love not of the mind, of the heart, the mind too small too restricted….the heart all expansive …..
Love is a seed sown on hallowed ground,
Watered by tears from the heart,
Kissed by the warmth of a tender embrace
Never again to part,
Nurtured, caressed by a thoughtful mind,
Tended by man’s fair hand,
Love is a seed sown on hallowed ground
Step in be love expand.

This weekend has been a massive learning curve.
It started with m looking after some new children. Seven year old twins, one of which is Autistic with no speech. They are lovely children. They are bright and funny and gorgeous as kids should be. But I had forgotten how challenging working with an Autistic child can be. After I couple of hours yesterday I realised I need to up my game. Be more prepared for next weekend and find things that stimulate and challenge a young, frustrated…

Well hello folks. Long-time no blog.
Life around here has been a little hectic. My 11 year old decided he wanted to try living with Daddy, even though Daddy lives in London and Joe has never lived with him. My eldest daughter was rushed to hospital with severe asthma and kept in over the snowiest weekend on record. My husband continues with his fine one day, unable to function another and my business is busy busy busy.
On top of all this I have discovered that the reason I was…

We all want and need love. It’s inherent in our very being. To the extent that we’ve experienced it makes it easy to give and accept. For those of us who grew up in loving environments, the ability to love is second nature and we’re able to attract, give, and receive love. Many of us however grew up in…

So important this post, Alice - and everyone.
It makes me think of Kahil Gibran's words'Pain is the breaking of the shell that encloses our understanding...'
The dragonfly lavae can stay at the bottom of a pond/river for several years before it becomes a nymph and crawls up the stem of a plant or bulrush. When it finally unfolds it wings, it has to wait for the colour to come in ad then dry before it flies..... I always think of this as I go through a 'dark night'…

As the mystical mists of January fade away, clear sight is restored ....an opportunity now to see beyond looking....not in the predictive, future, prophetic sense....to see as if for the first time, wholehearted and present ....to awaken the seer within.... who sees through the outer facade, beyond face value.....who sees beyond looking.... looking is half hearted, when looking there is a preconceived idea which distorts the view....looking avoids the present, saves something for the future…
