What has Inspired you in Jan 2012? Inspiration Blog January 30th

It's the penultimate day of my inspirational blogging challenge, and looking back over the past few weeks it's been a real mixed bag. There has been death, life, cats, passion. All in one little month. I guess that this is the essence of soul-cafe though, to embrace the spiritual through everything and anything. I guess this is the essence of life too. Ups, downs, swings, roundabouts...

Today I'm feeling nice and calm, but nothing occurs to me to be inspired by. What a pain... right! Again this is life is it not? We can intend to be inspired for a whole month, but some days all we get chucked is a serious rabbit fight, and feeling nauseous all afternoon due to a too big lunch. Yup that has been the high point of my day. Playing referee to two sparring bunny rabbits and then recovering from a jacket potato that almost floored me. My baby bump is causing my appetite to be huge, but my space for food minimal. An interesting and un-winnable paradox.

But I guess I am inspired by this lull of inspiration. It's great sometimes to have a quiet day and to take stock. After all if we were all to commit to full on inspiration who would separate the brawling bunnies or get the floor swept or prepare the dinner? Inspiration is a wonderful thing, but I'm all for the occasional calm and ease of 'nothing much to report' land.

There are a few bits and pieces I could stretch out into 'inspirational' points to ramble on about, but I fear my elastic may not go that far. So instead I will give over and release to the lull. And perhaps for some of you busy bees out there, that will be some form of inspiration. Inspiration found in being utterly uninspiring! Why not, I've tried the opposite all January, now it's time find some rest, put the feet up and give the inspiration a good night's sleep. Tomorrow is the last day of the blog... we shall see what it holds...

How has your month been? How has Jan 2012 moved and inspired you? I'm keen to hear your stories too! Comment below...

The past month has been imbued with the essence of patience for me. Doing nothing, whilst waiting for others to do something has, in fact, shown me that even when you remain perfectly still there will still be circles of movement around you.

Sometimes it's possible just to tread water and not  have to make a splash, and yet still be surrounded by the waves generated by others. Some might gently rise beneath you affording you a few moments of unexpected buoyancy; others might surprisingly spray you in the face. Then there are the waves which gently lap around your chin whilst the sun warms your cheek. These are probably my favourite!

Of course there will always be the time when you feel that you have been swept out to sea by a raging storm. You will, no doubt, experience those moments when you glimpse the safety of the shoreline. However, the rhythm of the waves will always lead you somewhere and the horizon is your only limit. From crest to crash and wipeout, to the gentlest ebb and flow, we really only have one choice - to go with it!
